Kartar teaches introductory classes at numerous locations and offers private tutoring as well. Her courses and published materials have distinguished Kartar as a classically trained practitioner who has had the courage to speak out against both old and new “false” schools.

Why would there be “false” schools of feng shui? Historically, this knowledge was kept very secretive and only the wealthiest class and political rulers could have access to the more sophisticated teachings. False Schools were created in order to keep the common man in the dark and not able to really utilize feng shui completely. In current times, we have well-known authors and feng shui personalities who are perpetuating these myths, superstitions and “false” schools. There are also new schools that have cropped up in the last twenty years which seriously dilute or distort the bulk of real feng shui theory.

This effort to sincerely protect consumers from trendy, misguided marketing gimmicks and expose the old superstitions has resulted in Kartar being known as a trustworthy source of information with a “down to earth” approach.

Kartar has enjoyed many professional alliances with architects, interior designers, builders, and real estate agents. She has also been an active member of the American Society of Feng Shui since 1992 and is a seasoned public speaker.

In 2003, Kartar founded Four Pillars Publishing as a perfect vehicle for expanding her teaching and writing talents and has published two feng shui books so far. Unlike some authors who are not even consultants, Kartar has had thousands of clients and routinely sees several hundred new clients per year. This voluminous case study experience validates for Kartar the power and reality of feng shui on a daily basis.
