Based on your Chinese Zodiac sign, there is a certain direction in your house which can be activated with a vase of fresh flowers for the purpose of attracting more romantic opportunities.  There are several steps involved in applying this classic feng shui remedy.

First you need to look at the chart included in this article to find out what your Chinese Zodiac sign is.  For people born between January 1st through February 4th, consider yourself one year older when referring to the chart.  For instance, a person born on January 14, 1970 would actually consider themselves born in 1969. Do know that this application is also tied to the Chinese SOLAR calendar and not the Lunar calendar. Refer to your birth year according to the Solar Calendar.

After you have looked up your zodiac sign, you will see that there is a direction associated with that sign.  This is the location in your home where you need to place a vase of water, with flowers optional. In order to really accurately know where this location is within your house, you need to use a compass and also make an accurate sketch of your floor plan.  Don’t assume your house faces a certain direction without using a compass to verify it.  The compass reading must be very precise and the remedy will not work unless you place your vase of water and optional flowers in the exact right location.

The water should be changed every few days if you are just using a vase of water (at least a quart in size), but change the water daily is you do have flowers in the vase. The number of flowers and the color of the flowers will make the water stronger in its effect.

This feng shui remedy is to be used by people who are trying to attract a new relationship.  It is not for those who are already in a committed relationship.

This vase of water Romance Remedy has proven to be effective with clients, as long as there is not something very significantly over-riding in the individual’s personal destiny.  As well, there could easily be a half dozen other things a person can do with their home or work space to heighten chances for 1) getting into a new relationship and 2) sustaining that relationship harmoniously. These applications are unique to the house or building and can be revealed with a comprehensive classical Feng Shui evaluation.

What happens if you discover that the location where you need to place the vase of water is just not practical? (like deep in a closet or on top of a refrigerator).  If the ideal location within your home does not work, you can micro-manage your bedroom and place the vase in the “smaller Tai Chi” location.  In other words, let’s say you were born in the Year of the Ox and see that the Horse Direction of dead-on South is your Romance spot. If the Horse  Sector within your whole home floor plan cannot work, you can locate the South-2 Sector within your bedroom and give that a try!
