I never thought I would write a feng shui article that mentions a bladder surgery I had, but it is relevant, so here goes.  The house is almost always a bigger version of the occupant or at least one of the family members.  When certain things go wrong with the structural integrity of the house, it can translate to health or emotional issues with the occupants.  Why is this so?  That is a deep philosophical and metaphysical question that is beyond the scope of this article, but I have now assessed over 6,000 properties in the last thirty + years and I can just say it is true that there is an undeniable connection between the house and the person.

Years ago, right when I was making a decision to have a surgery regarding my bladder, at the very same time, I was dealing with an unavoidable, major plumbing issue with my house that seemed to come out of nowhere.  In the final analysis, I ended up spending roughly the same on my plumbing bill as my medical bill.

For years I have been telling clients that if they have a chronic problem with plumbing that it can translate to internal plumbing problems of their own, running the gamut of digestion, elimination, or urological disorders.

When there is a chronic electrical problem, it can translate to problems with the nervous system for the occupants.

Each directional area of a floor plan is related to parts of the body and if there is any dilapidation or problem with that area, it can trickle down to affecting those same body areas for occupants.

As an example, the direction of north is associated with the kidneys, blood, circulation or ears.  If someone had a broken down chimney in the north sector of their home, they could be inviting health problems in those areas.

The direction of northeast is associated with the bones and muscles, especially the hands and fingers.  If someone had a cracked window or some other problem in that area it could stimulate an injury or ailment in those body parts.

The direction of east is associated with the throat, nerves, and feet.  Let’s say your neighbor starts doing a massive construction project to the east of your house.  It could trigger feet, throat or nerve problems for you.

The direction of southeast is associated with the lower back, legs and thighs while the direction of south is associated with the eyes and heart.  If you embarked on your own remodel project in those directions, you might not be able to avoid irritating those areas of your body as well, at least temporarily.

The direction of southwest is associated with the abdominal and reproductive area.  If a house were simply missing the southwest sector because of the shape of the floor plan, the occupants might have some deficiencies with their digestion.

West is symbolic of the teeth, mouth and chest area.  If the foundation under your home was cracked in the west sector, the result can be dental problems.

The northwest direction is representative of the head and lungs.  Having a missing northwest sector might make the occupant susceptible to head or lung ailments. Time and time again I see this fascinating correlation between the house, direction, timing, and the people who dwell there. And the good news is that you can fix these structural problems which will in turn benefit your health.
