Timing and direction play an important role in calculating where you can gather and strengthen your wealth luck.  Based on the last digit of the year you were born, there is a direction associated with it where you can store your spare change in your house.

Think of it as a cosmic money market account, and by adding to it regularly, you will attract even more wealth into your life. An alternative to actual money, you can also place a decorative object, made out of an element which will enhance the power of the direction where you are placing it.  Refer to the chart below to find out where your lucky money spot is.  And in order to know where this location really is within your house, you will need to use a compass because the most accurate application must be within 15 degrees of accuracy.

If you can stand in or near the very center of your house with your compass (and get roughly the same reading as you would outside), then you walk a straight line to the direction that is your lucky money spot and see if you have room to place the required remedy there.   I don’t expect you to walk through walls, so the ideal is to have a to-scale floor plan to chart out your Lu Cun Lucky Money Spot.

***Important NoteIf you were born January 1st through February 3rd, you must consider yourself one year older. Example:  If you were born January 12, 1954 then you would consider yourself born in 1953 and the last digit of your year of birth=3.

Here are some examples for using this chart, to make sure you’ve got it:

For a person born in 1960, their lucky money spot is the third sector of southwest, precisely between 233-247 degrees. That person will place a bowl of spare change in this exact location of their house, ideally in an earthen bowl because Earth strengthens Metal and the Monkey Direction is inherently Metal. (This is based on the “stem” system in Chinese astrology and not the “Branch” system.  Earth is clay, stone, ceramic, marble, etc.   In my book, The Feng Shui Matrix, there is a variation on this Chart in terms of what element is related to the zodiac sign.  For example, the Monkey Direction is part of Southwest and that is known as an Earth direction. You have a choice in what material to use or what color the bowl can me when comparing the charts.

A person born in a year ending in 3 (1943, 1953, 1963, etc.) will see on the chart that the Rat direction of dead-on North (353-7 degrees) is their lucky money spot.

Since the Rat is inherently a Water Animal in the Chinese Zodiac system, the spare change can be placed in a Metal bowl, since Metal strengthens Water. Metal is copper, silver, brass, bronze, pewter, steel, etc.

A person born in a year ending in 5 will see on the chart that their lucky money spot is exactly east (between 83-97 degrees). Since the Rabbit is related to the Wood phase, putting the money in a blue or black bowl will strengthen the direction of east.  (Blue and black are water colors and Water strengthens Wood.) An alternative to money, the 5 people could place a bowl of water in this direction.

A person born in years ending with 6, 7, 8, or 9 will want to activate either the third sector of SE or dead-on South. (Check the chart).  Since the Snake and the Horse animals are inherently Fire in nature (stem system), the object placed in these directions should be made of wood.  Wood strengthens Fire in the Productive Cycle of the Elements.  You could use a wooden bowl to store your money.  A wood carving in that location can also become a lucky totem for people born in those years. (And finally a good reason to have a bamboo plant!) In fact, some paper money mixed metal coins, would work good for these signs.  Southeast is also related to the Wood energy, so water colors like blue or black are also acceptable.

I have often found myself quietly amused to see that some of my wealthiest clients, unbeknownst to them, were actually emptying their pockets and placing their spare change each day in their lucky money spot.  Some people are tuned in on a level that is very impressive.
